THE COUNCIL OF NINE, ITS POWER AND ITS MEMBERS
The concept of The Council of Nine already appears in The Book of Enoch (Hanoch). We know very little about Hanoch from the Bible, as his name is mentioned only once. He made his way to the Orders comprising The Council of Nine and from there he brought the appendix known as “The Secrets of Enoch”(Razei Hanoch) in which the concept of “the Keys of Enoch”(maftechot Hanoch) is mentioned.
The Order of Nine is based on the three triangles comprising The Tree of Life and it is this order that controls the forces we have been using throughout the Age. The orders of The Council are divided into The Council of Nine, in which there are entities who resided in physical bodies in the past. Since they comprise half of the total Order, which includes seventy two entities, they were the “36 righteous” (Lamed Vav Tzadikim) at the base of the world. They constitute the part that lowers metaphysical forces to the three-dimensional world, as they are the ones who can make contact with other human beings. Since they belong to a circle in which they experience their power, they draw from that part of The Council of Nine residing in the executing circle, which constitutes the orders of the Angels who control all of the executive forces to the Age.
When Hanoch was taken by God, he was raised to the rank of the head of The Supreme Order, Haiot Hakodesh, there, he, in fact, was the head of the Order of Nine. Since he had been in a physical body and had experienced matter, he was unique in that all the others in the Order were Angels, which are more like computer programs without souls, emotions or free choice. The function of the Order of Nine was to provide operative forces through the four elements towards Creation and to the souls via the list of experiences. He was willing to provide additional opportunities for the souls that were experiencing in bodies, as long as they did not contradict God’s plan or the soul’s list of experiences. In their angelic way, they objected to anything that did not fit into these categories. When Hanoch led the Supreme Order, which is the Order that approves and delegates powers, it happened that those turning to the Order received things that did not fit into those categories, as a result of his compassionate emotions. Then, The Order of the Herubim, led by the Archangel Gabriel, was the first Order our requests and prayers passed. (We met Gabriel as we know that his Angels closed The Garden of Eden with the “reversible sword”.) Only if they met those requirements, did he allow them to continue up the Order, so as to reach Metatron, who is Hanoch, at the head of The Council of Nine for approval of the provision of things that were asked for beyond the list.
Actually, The Council of Nine contains nine orders of Angelic forces and they themselves are comprised of those 72 units of consciousness that are the cornerstones of Creation. Eight Angels control the Orders and they are the Archangels. Metatron, who is Hanoch, rules the order of Haiot Hakodesh, the Supreme Order. Zophiel rules the Order of Ofanim. The Angel Zaphkiel rules the Order of the Aralim. The Angel Zadkiel rules the Order of the Hashmalim. The Angel Samael rules the Order of the Seraphim. The Angel Haniel rules the Order of the Elohim. The Angel Michael rules the Order of the Angels. Raphael rules the Order of Bnei Elohim. The Angel Gabriel rules the Order of the Herubim.
The councils effect their influence through the Magen David (Star of David) and it is their presence, which creates the power of that symbol. The Orders at the tips of the Magen David provide personal power for the souls, whereas the Orders inside the Magen David are responsible for the consciousness of the Age and the clusters of souls experiencing it. Every prayer, request, plea or charm written in Angel’s writing, is passed on to the Council of Nine through these Orders. Furthermore, the same 72 titles or 72 units of consciousness exist in the Tefilin and in our Mezuzot. Obviously, the division into elements through the units of consciousness is apparent in these cases as well. Therefore, any understanding of the units of consciousness, or of the 72 titles, their effects, their functions along with the ways of summoning them into our lives, actually connects us with the Council of Nine who rules The Age of Earth for Jehovah.
